What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger

Have you ever been rejected trying to reach a goal, or following a dream? If not, you’re simply not from this planet. Seriously though, I wanted so badly to share this post with you because being rejected it’s something that it’s recently becoming a habit for me.

From my own experience I can say that specially when you are a beginner, rejections can become really frequent, and there comes a point when you start thinking if you are really cut out to do what you are doing, or if you’re just following a dream that, perhaps, it’s just that: a dream; but is it bad to want to follow a dream? Are rejections really a bad thing?

Rejections are just part of the process of making a dream come true. It would just be too easy to do whatever you’d like to do without any stopping or without someone telling you that you’re not ready. Rejections are reminders that if you really want to do something, you need to improve yourself; They’re not a “NO”, but a “NOT NOW”. Rejections allow you to become better at what you’re doing, they make you stronger.

Believe me, I know is not easy to see it this way, and don’t take a rejection badly, but I do think it’s important to understand that no one can tell you you’re not cut out for something, if you don’t believe so. You have to  realize that things, specially the important ones, are not meant to be easy. You have to learn from rejections what you’re missing and improve yourself until the next time they can’t reject you again, at least not for the same reasons.

So what I can tell you from what I’m experiencing,is that it’s important not to doubt of yourself, to try learning from rejections and improve yourself. It’s also important, in my opinion, not to see everything that may be going bad at the moment and, instead, remember the things that prove you’re following the right path, the goals you have achieved until now, and specially if you’re a beginner, that rejections come with the package, and it’s just a matter of time and learning.
